How to cook Fast winter soup


  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 long red chilly, seeds removed, finely shredded
  • 1 celery stem, shredded
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 cup red lentils, rinsed, knackered
  • 1L (4 cups) chicken or vegetable strain
  • Low-fat natural yogurt, to answer

How to:

  • Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium passion, add the onion, chilly, celery and carrot and cook for 2-3 proceedings.

  • Add cumin and coriander and fake, stirring, for a further moment.

  • Add the red lentils and chicken or vegetable strain, bring to boil and simmer for 8-10 minutes or until lentils are bid.

  • Season with salt and peppercorn. Serve in bowls with a dollop of yogurt.
