Warming winter broth

Ingredients:
- 500ml (2 cups) h2o, or reduced-salt vegetable or chicken strain
- 1 tbs dried nettle leaves
- 2 tsp finely grated fresh pep
- 1/4-1/2 tsp thinly sliced fresh red chilly
- 4 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 small clove, thinly sliced
- 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/4 tsp sesame oil
- Saltiness (optional)
How to:
Combine water or strain, nettle leaves, gingerroot, chilly, thyme, ail, turmeric and oil in a saucepan over medium-low hotness. Bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low. Fix, covered, for 3 minutes or until redolent. Set aside for 5 minutes to tincture. Taste and season with saltiness.
Strain into a glass to serve.
Dried nettle leaves are available from health-food stores.
